Dear ISHRS Members,

The past month has seen profound changes. There are few things that affect everyone in the world at the same time.It is incredible to think of the global magnitude of the effects of this pandemic.

At the same time, we as a global population have never been more connected than now due to the Internet and technology. We are fortunate in this regard.Staying connected, having support, and feeling a sense of community and safety are necessities during times of crisis.

My thoughts and well-wishes are with all of you.We will get through this. This too shall pass.

In the meantime, while we cannot meet in-person, we will adjust. We are providing mechanisms for members to stay connected, stay educated, and stay supported.

WEBINARS AND ONLINE DISCUSSION GROUPS

We have launched a new initiative of offering regular webinars and online discussion groups. The first three launched last week, and we have more being planned. The schedule is below and being updated. The most up-to-date calendar can be found online at: https://ishrs.org/physicians/education/

The webinars and discussion groups are being recorded and available on-demand for ISHRS Members in the Members Only section. To log in, go to the top right and click on “Member Login.” Once logged in, there is a tab, “Webinar Replays,” as well as, “Upcoming Webinars” that provides links to register for upcoming webinars and discussion groups.

COVID-19 RESOURCES

We have created a COVID-19 Resources page in the Members Only section.

I end with a bit of positive news.I am pleased to report that the ISHRS has successfully achieved re-accreditation from the prestigious Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) after a year-long arduous process. This the gold standard for CME in the United States and also recognized in many other countries. The ACCME is a major player in the global CME community. Dr. Bob Haber, CME Committee Chair, and I will write an article with more details in the next Forum.

Please stay in touch with us!We love to hear from our members. The more you participate in the Society, the more you’ll get out of it.

Best regards,

Victoria Ceh, MPA, Executive Director
