CHICAGO (USA) – June 26, 2025. Several of the world’s foremost experts in the art and science of hair restoration surgery will gather in historic Tbilisi, Georgia, for the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) Regional Workshop: Comprehensive Hair Transplantation from Patient Selection to Successful Outcomes, July 5-7, 2025, hosted by ISHRS member Vazha Vadachkoria, MD, co-founder and CEO of Talizi Clinic in Tbilisi.
The three-day workshop, “Advanced Hair Transplantation Techniques,” offers attendees of all skill levels the chance to view live surgical demonstrations led by established physicians in the field of hair restoration. This unique format provides attendees with unparalleled insights into advanced practices, refined patient selection protocols, and strategies for achieving consistent, optimal, and natural-looking results.
“As international leaders in the field of hair restoration surgery, we owe it to our patients and the future of our specialty to continue to educate one another on best practices and techniques that can enhance how we perform hair transplantation,” said Dr. Vadachkoria. “Everyone who attends this workshop will acquire the knowledge to elevate their clinical outcomes through observing live surgical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions conducted in real time – all while fostering relationships with the broader ISHRS global community.”
In addition to receiving expert mentorship with real patients via the live surgery session, this exclusive workshop includes advanced learning in the following surgical procedures:
- Follicular Unit Excision (FUE)
- Long hair FUE
- Beard and eyebrow transplants
- Precision hairline design
- Scar revision
Dr. Vadachkoria added that the workshop’s patient-centric focus and interactive learning format will allow those in attendance to engage in lively debates, troubleshoot challenges, and refine their skills through collaborative peer exchanges. Attendees can also explore the latest tools and technologies from leading pharmaceutical and medical device sponsors dedicated to advancing hair restoration during a special innovation showcase.
“As our latest member survey indicates, ISHRS members performed an average of 15 hair restoration surgeries per month in 2024 – a testament to the hands-on nature of ISHRS physicians who approach each case with the dedication and expertise it deserves,” noted Ricardo Mejia, MD, FISHRS, president of the ISHRS. “This premier educational event demonstrates ISHRS’s commitment to hosting international workshops to bridge our collective knowledge and cutting-edge techniques in hair restoration surgery with our members in all corners of the world.”
The ISHRS 2025 Practice Census found that in 2024, the average number of patients per member increased by 20% since 2021. The survey also determined that first-time hair restoration surgery patients in 2024 skewed younger than the general adult population, with 95% initiating hair restoration surgery between the ages of 20-35.
