ISHRS Europe and the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration (S.I.Tri.) welcome you to the 2024 World Live Surgery
Workshop: Milan, on Sunday, May 26, 2024 –the day after the 46th Congress of S.I.Tri.

As part of its increasing collaborative efforts with Global Council societies, the ISHRS via its ISHRS Europe Council is pleased to partner with the Italian Society for Hair Science and Restoration/Società Italiana di Tricologia (S.I.Tri.) on this full-day live surgery workshop taking place in Milan, Italy, on May 26, 2024, at Ospedale San Raffaele.

For convenience of guests, the ISHRS Europe 2024 World Live Surgery Workshop: Milan has been carefully planned to maximize your educational opportunities. Start with an optional Langhe Cycling Tour with your friends (May 18-22), consider sitting for the ABHRS Oral Exam (May 23), participate in the 46th S.I.Tri. Conference (May 23-25), and finally, partake in the ISHRS & S.I.Tri. Live Surgery Workshop (May 26).

During the Live Surgery Workshop, engage in dialogue and discussion as local and international guest faculty demonstrate the newest techniques and share surgical pearls. Three operating theaters will be running concurrently and include the following cases and techniques.

3 Operating Theatres

Operating Room 1: Long hair preview FUE and FUT eyebrows restoration – Trivellini machine, strip, Lion implanters

In this room a hair transplant using a combination technique will be performed in the same patient. This technique will allow 3 different surgeons to demonstrate 3 different harvesting techniques. Strip harvesting will be performed in the occipital area where the hair cut will be long, with an innovative technique that allows for minimal scarring and the grafts will then be divided under the microscope. FUE Harvesting will be performed parieto-temporal area on shaved areas, with 2 latest generation devices.

Harvesting
- Classic Strip technique – FUT with dissection of the follicular units under the microscope (45 minutes)
- FUE technique on shaved hair using the WAW DUO device (1 hour)
- FUE technique on shaved hair using the Zeus device (1 hour)
Placing/Implanting
- Incision and preparation of the receiving sites using the Robopen (30 minutes)
- Incision and implanting of follicular units using Lion implanters or INRUT implanters (45 minutes)
- Implanting of follicular units using Blunt Implanters (90 minutes)

Operating Room 2: Shaven FUE procedure – WAW DUO, Zeus, Lion implanters, INRUT implanters, Robopen

The curvature of the hair is more noticeable when the hair is long and not shaved, and the curvature control direction is achieved during placing easier when the graft has a longer hair.

Drawing, Harvesting and Placing
- Drawing of the eyebrows (30 minutes)
- Long hair harvesting using the Trivellini device (90-120 minutes)
- Follicular unit insertion using Lion implanters (90-120 minutes)

Operating Room 3: Specialty treatments – PRP plasma X with pre-activation of platelets, TRICOPAT machine procedure, SEFFIHAIR with adipose stem cells

In the third operating room, three different regenerative medicine methods will be performed on 3 different patients.

PRP Plasma X with pre-activation of the platelets using novel LED light system preceding injections (45 minutes)
TRICOPAT procedure using homologous device with delivery of exosomes (45 minutes)
SEFFIHAIR procedure using homologous device with collection and implantation of adi-
pose stem cells and the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) of the adipose tissue (45 minutes)
