About the Doctor

Dr. Mejia is Persident of The International Society for  Hair Restoration Surgery , a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He served as Treasures on the Board of Governers for the ISHRS. He is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality results, ethics and serves as Chairman of the unlicensed practice of medicine and was chairman of the Fight to Fight campaign. Dr. Mejia is a native of Miami Florida.  He has been practicing hair resotration for over twenty years . He earned a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed his Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Mejia completed a fellowship in hair transplantation surgery.  He is one of very few surgeons to have completed a fellowship and that is also board certified in Dermatology and a Diplomate of the American Board of hair restoration Surgeons. Dr. Mejia’s practice is dedicated to hair transplantation. Dr. Mejia is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, , and the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery.
