Dr. Epstein has taught at over 20 national and international scientific meetings on his work in hair restoration, and is frequently invited to be a speaker at meetings.

About the Doctor

Dr. Epstein, one of the country's leading experts in hair restoration surgery, is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (where he received the highest score in his board exams), the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (a non-ABMS certifying organization) and the American Board of Otolaryngology. Specializing in hair transplantation since 1993, he is considered amongst his peers as an expert in follicular unit grafting for men and women, reparative hair transplants, and eyebrow and body hair transplantation. Widely published in the plastic surgery, dermatology, and hair transplant literature, Dr. Epstein has an active clinical practice, personally performing 10 hair procedures weekly. Regularly quoted by the media for his expertise in this field, Dr. Epstein was recently featured in a three-part series on hair transplantation that ran in Popular Science magazine. This series focused on both his work in follicular unit grafting as well as his anesthesia technique through the use of The Wand¨. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Epstein is on the faculty of the University of Miami, Division of Facial Plastic Surgery. He also writes and lectures extensively on his techniques. In addition, Dr. Epstein has been providing pro bono reconstructive surgery for children and adults with scarring and hair loss from a variety of different traumas for over 10 years. Most important to Dr. Epstein is the respect and recognition of his patients. He personally performs all consultations and procedures, while his highly experienced team of assistants performs all microscopic graft dissection. Only one procedure is performed at a time, allowing the attention to detail that Dr. Epstein promises all his patients. His office procedure suite is accredited by the AAAHC, a national certifying organization, assuring patients of the highest safety and allowing for procedures to be performed under mild sedation, or if patients choose, twilight sedation. Over 60% of Dr. Epstein's patients travel in for their procedures.
