About the Doctor
Dr. William R. Rassman received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia in 1966. He completed a surgical internship at the University of Minnesota and obtained a cardiovascular fellowship with Dr. C.W. Lillehei. Dr. Rassman completed his residency in general surgery at the Cornell Medical Center and Dartmouth Medical Center. He served as a Major in the U.S. Army, was stationed as a surgeon in the Republic of Vietnam. Dr. Rassman was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1976.
Dr. Rassman was a major researcher in the cardiac field, bringing the Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump to market for the treatment of heart failure in 1969. This device is credited with saving thousands of lives annually. As a professional inventor with multiple U.S. and worldwide patents. He pioneered the megasession in the early 1990s. He introduced the FUE in 2002. He continues to work on improving the hair restoration field with new medical devices that will make the surgery faster and less error-prone. Dr. Rassman holds over 100 Patents.
Dr. Rassman is motivated to make a difference. He strives to be the best and is never satisfied with the status quo. He is a visionary and has never limited his goals by what has been done. He serves as an editor for many peer-reviewed journals.
