For over twenty-five years, Dr. Alan Bauman has been a frequent presenter and lecturer at national and international medical conferences. He has been an invited and participating faculty member at numerous Live Surgery Workshops and meetings, including the first Regional Live Surgery Workshop on Eyelash Transplantation sponsored by the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. Bauman was the first physician to demonstrate and teach FUE hair transplantation at the ISHRS Orlando Live Surgery Workshop. Dr. Bauman is a passionate author and public speaker on topics of hair loss and hair restoration. His articles have been published in medical journals and in the lay press and he has authored several chapters in medical textbooks.

Dr. Alan J. Bauman is a full-time hair restoration physician and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS).
Dr. Alan Bauman is the Founder and Medical Director of the Bauman Medical Group, P.A., located in Boca Raton, Florida. For over twenty years, he has been dedicated to exclusively treating hair loss in men and women. In his full-time hair restoration practice, he uses a "multi-therapy" or multi-modality approach, designed to effectively help patients enhance, maintain and restore their own living and growing hair. His armamentarium includes FDA-approved medical treatments (Finasteride/Propecia and Minoxidil), non-chemical/non-invasive low level laser therapy, nutritional analysis and modification, PRP Platelet Rich Plasma cell therapy, Exosome therapy, as well as the latest minimally-invasive FUE Follicular Unit Excision microsurgical techniques that yield the most aesthetic hair transplant results with the least activity restrictions and quickest, most comfortable post-operative recovery with no linear scar.
Dr. Bauman is proficient in the artistic application of Follicular-Unit Micrografting, minimally-invasive Follicular-Unit Extraction (FUE), as well as Eyelash Transplantation, Eyebrow Transplants, and Trichophytic Donor Closure techniques. A significant portion of his practice is dedicated to repairing old-style 'plug' transplants as well as the use of hair transplantation to help those scarred by accidents or injuries.
His 'first love' being cosmetic surgery, Dr. Bauman was mentored closely by a prominent NY plastic surgeon from an early age. After graduating from the University of California–Riverside, Dr. Bauman received his M.D. degree from New York Medical College with Cor et Manus award. Pursuing his interest, he had years of residency training in General Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan before specializing exclusively in hair restoration.
Dr. Bauman is an active member of many professional organizations, including the esteemed International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, where he has achieved Fellow Status, as well as the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, an accepted member of the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons and others.
Dr. Bauman is one of a small number of surgeons worldwide who is board-certified by the American and International Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.
During their one-on-one in-person or virtual consultations and routine follow-ups with Dr. Bauman, each patient can undergo a computer "preview" imaging session to see what results they might realistically achieve through various hair restoration treatments or procedures. Digital microscopic hair density and hair caliber measurements are acquired by HairCam and HairCheck/HairMetrix devices. A thorough medical history, medical assessment and scalp health assessment may also be performed.
