Dr. Vladimir V. Panine has two medical degrees, one from Moscow First Medical University (Cum laude) and the second from Boston University School of Medicine, also Cum laude. While at Boston University, he became interested in hair Physiology while doing basic research at the BU/Tufts Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Panine pursued his interest in cosmetic surgery and hair restoration while in surgical residency at Stanford University, followed by residency in Dermatology with an emphasis on hair restoration. Dr. Panine has been performing hair restoration procedures since the early 1990’s. Over the last two decades he has performed over 4,000 procedures.

Dr. Panine & CHICAGO HAIR TRANSPLANT CLINIC, are recognized leaders in hair restoration. With over twenty years of hair transplant experience, Dr. Vladimir Panine and his staff are passionate about hair restoration. He has performed over 6,000 hair restoration procedures.
Dr. Panine utilizes his extensive cosmetic surgery and dermatological training to perform state of the art procedures with emphasis on natural and undetectable hairlines. He also performs follicular unit extractions (FUE) from scalp as well as other parts of the body (chest, axillae, and abdomen) in patients with depleted donor area. He also restores eye- brows, facial hair, as well as addresses special situations (burn victims, triangular alopecia, patients after trauma, and chemotherapy). Dr. Panine performs trichophytic closure of the donor area. In addition, Dr. Panine performs scar revisions and corrections of old “plug” procedures. Dr. Panine also has extensive experience in female and ethnic hair transplantation procedures.
Dr. Panine founded Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic (CHTC). CHTC is where Dr. Panine perfected ultra refined hair transplantation techniques and where he continues to revolutionize hair transplant surgery standards by continually improving the surgical process and therefore continually improving patient results.
