About the Doctor
Robert M. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.A.D. is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. Dr. Bernstein is recognized for his pioneering work in Follicular Unit Transplantation, Follicular Unit Excision and Robotic-FUE. The Bernstein Medical - Center for Hair Restoration in Manhattan is devoted to the treatment of hair loss using these state-of-the-art techniques.
Dr. Bernstein is Board Certified in Dermatology and a member of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is the recipient of the "Platinum Follicle Award for "Outstanding Achievement" in scientific and clinical research in hair restoration. He is also the recipient of the Hair Transplant Forum International Surgeon of the Month Award.
Dr. Bernstein is noted for co-authoring the first published works on Follicular Unit Transplantation and Follicular Unit Excision, and has written over sixty articles, editorial reviews, books and textbook chapters on these subjects. He lectures both nationally and internationally on the treatment of hair loss and is active in clinical research and teaching at Columbia University in New York. In his private practice in mid-town Manhattan, Dr. Bernstein is devoted to providing the best possible care for his patients.
