About the Doctor

For more than 35 YEARS, Dr. Leonard has specialized in the field of hair restoration surgery. He had the good fortune to have been trained by the late Dr. C.P. Chambers, who provided him with an extremely large patient population on which to learn the art and science of hair restoration. Dr. Leonard has served in many leadership positions including Founding Secretary, Vice President, and finally President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is a Fellow of the ISHRS. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He has lectured at advanced hair restoration educational conferences throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico, As well as in South America, Australia, Europe, and Asia. This physician has always treated BOTH men and women who are experiencing hair loss with expertise and compassion–offering ALL aspects of treatment from Propecia, Rogaine to the CAPILLUSRx Laser Device (low level laser therapy) to the latest methods of hair restoration surgery including strip excision and FUE (follicular unit excision) technique using the ARTAS Robotic Device and the NeoGraft Device, among others. One of the most important aspects of Dr. Leonard's practice of hair restoration surgery is that it is his FULL TIME professional specialty. Dr. Leonard feels that it is important that his patients are aware that male pattern baldness and female pattern hair loss are progressive in nature.
