Dr. Matthew Lopresti is the Chief Hair Restoration Surgeon at Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, serving patients throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and the greater New England area. He specializes in surgical and non-surgical hair restoration for men and women experiencing hair loss.

Dr. Lopresti earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Pennsylvania, followed by three years of residency training at Boston Medical Center. He subsequently completed subspecialty training through Harvard Medical School and a two-year preceptorship in hair restoration surgery under Dr. Robert Leonard, founder of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates.

An International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) Fellow and Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), Dr. Lopresti has lectured nationally and internationally on surgical hair restoration and medical treatments for hair loss.

His surgical expertise includes Follicular Unit Excision (FUE) and Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), commonly known as the strip method. He also helps patients explore non-surgical treatments, including Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy with ACell and medications such as finasteride and minoxidil.

Dr. Lopresti emphasizes personalized treatment plans, natural-looking results, and realistic expectations. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, weightlifting, skiing, traveling, following New England sports, and exploring the outdoors.
