About the Doctor
We are a full-time, hair transplant practice and have been in business since 1989. Doctor Beehner has been an innovator during his career and has been active in teaching hair transplantation at various meetings and live surgery workshops around the world. He was the winner of the ISHRS Platinum Follicle Award for research in 1999, and in 2007 received the Manfred Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award from the ISHRS. He served as co-editor of Hair Transplant Forum International from 2002-2005, and was the president of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery in 2005. Our practice works on a very personal, individual basis; we only perform surgery on one patient at a time in an unhurried manner. We have satellite offices in Syracuse and Newburgh, New York for consultations, but perform all of our procedures in Saratoga Springs at our main office. The best way to learn more about our practice is to read our website and view our patient galleries, or send (or E-mail) your address to us, and we'll send our new color brochure and our most recent price list.
Women are an important part of our practice, and we enjoy helping them with their hair thinning problems. About 15% of our practice consists of repairing old hair transplant work, another challenge we greatly enjoy. We also transplant eyebrows and work on trans-gender patients.
The consultation is the most important step in the transplant process. It is the point at which a level of trust develops between doctor and patient. It also is a valuable opportunity for Dr. Beeliner to evaluate the quality and type of your donor hair, and what your balding pattern is. We are quite conservative in our approach, and in most of our projects try to anticipate what the patient's head will look like in ten or twenty years. Our goal is for our transplant work to look natural for the rest of your life.
