Looking My Felt Age

I have slowly gone bald since I was about 30 years old. It didn’t bother me too much, until I was 46 and had a daughter. Suddenly most of the fathers (who were of course mostly younger) with children the same age seemed to look 20 years younger than I, even though I felt very young. I got irritated that my looks did not match my felt age.

When I got to know Dr. Neidel I knew at once that I could trust him and decided to have a hair transplantation done at once.

In 2002 (at age 48) I had my 1st procedure done on the hairline and top of the scalp. I was surprised that I had no pain during the treatment and only very little the first night. Since I am self-employed it was important to me that I could go back to work after the weekend being treated on Friday afternoon. I could start jogging again 4 days after the treatment. When the hair started to grow about 3 months after the operation, I was surprised that nobody noticed the change. I only got some comments like: “Have you been on vacation?” or “Looks nice with your hair a little longer” or “Got new glasses?” For once, I felt at ease with myself when I looked in the mirror. I looked like what I felt inside.

In 2003 I decided to make it all perfect by having a second hair transplantation, where the crown was treated and also some more grafts were placed in between the others to create more density.

I am still very happy with my hair at 52 years “young” and a father of a 6-year-old daughter. I even think that it gives me self-confidence in my working life while doing presentations or running a meeting.

With all my thanks to Dr. Neidel and his team.
